Portuguese musician and songwriter Alexandre Santos (founder of Scar For Life) has announced Unreel, the second album from his atmospheric rock project, Cineasta.
Born from a turbulent period of personal hardships, the album evolved from raw piano memos on Alexandre’s phone into a deeply personal, yet intentionally positive and energetic rock record.
Unreel is primarily an instrumental album, but features four tracks with vocals. Santos handled songwriting, production, and most instrumentation, reuniting with original Cineasta musicians Vicente Ferreira (drums) and German D (violins).
The four vocal tracks feature metal veteran Mark Boals (Yngwie Malmsteen) on "Ecliptica," longtime collaborator David Reed Watson on "My Unfolding," and Portuguese singer Sombra on two tracks—marking Santos’s first-time ever releasing music in his native language. The album's visual identity was created by The Art of Menoevil, featuring model Avika Vimolrat. Unreel is released via Lion Music Record Label

Cineasta is an instrumental rock project founded by Alexandre Santos (SCAR FOR LIFE, STAGMA), a multi-instrumentalist songwriter with a passion for pushing creative boundaries.

Marc Lynn (GOTTHARD), the accomplished bassist, played a pivotal role in the project, infusing it with his remarkable talent and dedication. With his masterful command of the bass, Marc Lynn not only laid down captivating rhythms but also played an integral part in bringing the project to fruition.

With a fusion of intricate guitar solos and sweeping orchestral arrangements,
Cineasta’s music transcends traditional genres and paves the way
for a truly immersive sonic experience. 

Each composition tells a story, not through words, but through the power of sound. The atmospheric vibes and evocative melodies transport listeners to different realms, stirring a myriad of emotions within the depths of their souls.
