Italian metallers THE
MOOR have just released he official video for the song "YEAR
OF THE HUNGER" taken from their album of the same name which
saw release a year ago on Lion Music.
Vocalist /Guitarist of
The Moor Enrico
Longhin (and director of the short film together with Andrea
Livieri and Alberto Businari), says: "We shot the
video exactly one year after the release date of the album
“Year of The Hunger”, and this video represents what
everyone of us is forced to do everyday... It's a metaphor
about life and struggle. The best thing was to work with
such a great artist like Guido Laurjini, he acted in several
famous Italian movies, theatres, musical and also TV
commercials, he's a really eye-catching actor. On the other
hand we had the pleasure to work with one of the best
photographer around, Andrea Livieri, just to give you the
best result we can afford, like The Moor does every time."
Lion Music is
pleased to unveil a video for the track “Huldra” taken from
“Pictures From A Time Traveller”, the incredible debut
instrumental album from guitar-master Marcus Jidell
(Avatarium, ex Evergrey, ex Royal Hunt).
Marcus wanted
something a little different to the thousands of “mimed”
guitar videos out there and with the help of video producers
Steff Granström and Andreas Hillerborg came up with a video
which both manages to deliver the feel of this particular
track but also give fans something new.
Jidell has the
following to say about the video:
"To catch a different vibe I brought a mobile studio and
a Marshall stack to the country side one early morning in
November where we recorded and filmed a one take of
“Huldra”. I didn't want the regular "mimed" video thing so I
just played it once again, I wanted it to be raw and honest
and to show how I improvise around themes when playing
guitar live. I think that we captured the spirit of the song
both playing wise and with the way it was filmed and I hope
people who see this will think the same."
Lion Music and Marcus would like to say a big thank you
Steff Granström and Andreas Hillerborg for making this video
and I also want to thank Martin "E-type" Eriksson for
providing the location and Sigge Viking for assistance .

In related news
Opposing Motion have been creating quite a storm on the
progressive metal networks with “Laws Of Motion” picking up
some excellent reviews and scores. Here is just a taste:
Laws of
Motion” is an excellent work, musicians have done a great
work and created a real jewel. All fans of Progressive Power
Metal must have it!
My Global Mind
Good quality on the Lion Music label is common, but
Opposing Motion is one of the better bands in my opinion
because this band shows a daring spirit.
Lords of Metal
Opposing Motion's full length debut Laws of Motion is a
dense album of progressive metal marked by layers of riffage
and orchestration, but also moments endearing subtly.
Danger Dog
Opposing Motion have a good grasp of injecting the right
amount of hooks amidst their progressive volleys. Worth
investigating if you want something a little more metallic
than pure technical overload.
Imhotep
Laws Of Motion is a gripping introduction to the songs of
this capable four piece metal group
Sea of Tranquility
Laws of Motion is a technical and demanding album, full
of good ideas and melodies. Sparing very catchy parts on one
side and the other techniques, it never falls into the trap
of a cold and disembodied music.
Les Eternels
This is definitely intelligent metal and you get the
impression is all comes sickeningly easily for the band such
is the confidence displayed in the material.
Virtuosity One

Following on from

"Flaws Of Elation" is a prog-power experience with some
modern techno-thrash influences which are reflected in the
way Ashent arrange and play guitars and drums. There are
also some death metal references, in the mode the band use
growling as backing vocals that have their importance in the
economy of Ashent’s sound, wisely mixed with a modern prog
attitude that uses avant-garde and gothic elements in order
to create intense and dramatic music. The atmosphere is very
dark, but the vocals of American vocalist Steve Braun are
extremely melodic, supported by some beautiful
orchestrations.
Italian metallers
Mastercastle return on 19 April 2013 with the red
hot new album“On Fire” released through Lion

Home to 9 tracks
